ANDREW ELT - Vocals
1962, Doncaster, England

Andrew Elt has been active as a professional musician
since 1983. Before then he could always be found

playing in numerous local and high school bands.
After giving up university in '83, he joined Dutch
rock band Gin on the Rocks, playing rhythm guitar
and on lead vocals, who went on to win the 'GPvNL,'
THE annual, national, Dutch battle of the bands competition. This resulted in a single with national
radio and TV airplay, as well as the critically acclaimed
mini album 'Hot' (1986).

In 1988 Andrew joined dutch rockers Sleeze Beez,
this time on vocals only, in time to record their most successful album, 'Screwed Blued and Tattooed'
(1989) Sleeze Beez were signed to Atlantic Records
in the US and world wide, and went on to tour with
Skid Row during the spring of 1990. The first single and video, Stranger than Paradise, went on to be a Top 5 requested video on MTV's Most Wanted for 4 weeks and lifted sales of the album way above the 100,000 units within the first 2 months of its release. Sleeze Beez went on to do a massive 4 month club tour of the US, selling out in every market.

1991 the band moved to Los Angeles to write and record the follow-up album, but the Californian sun and other 'distractions' failed to bring out the best in the band. It wasn't until the summer of 1992 they finally record the next album, Powertool, in the UK. Due to the verwhelming break-through of grunge, the album barely saw the light of day, with the band and Atlantic Records parting ways. Sleeze Beez released a third album through their dutch label in 1993, called Insanity Beach. The critically acclaimed swan song, it landed the band a slot on the infamous Dynamo Open Air Festival, performing in front
of 100,000 metal heads. Sleeze Beez went on to tour in Europe and Japan, where they recorded their final, (live) album (Live in Tokyo 1995).

The band split up on New Year's Eve of 1995. Andrew went on to form The Moon along side a 'trippy' 70's rock cover band called the Heavy 70's, with ex Beez guitarist Don van Spall and Vengeance drummer John Snels. A far cry from the power rock of the Beez, The Moon was a melodic tour de force, emulating a diverse 70's sound and feel. The debut album was released in the States in 1997. During this period, Andrew, for a short while, was even
up for the then vacant spot, as frontman for Van Halen, left behind by Sammy Hagar! Ah, what might have been! Also in this period Andrew cut a single for the Jason Becker Foundation, the Vandenberg song 'Burning Heart' alongside Vandenberg drummer Jos Zoomer, both also performing at a live tribute at a sold out Paradiso in Amsterdam alongside the likes of Sepeltura's Andreas Kisser, Slash and Zakk Wylde. His latest attempt at writing and recording was the Elektro van Klooster (2005) project, featuring dutch bass powerhouse Barend Courbois, who also featured on the Burning Heart record. An album was recorded and will be released sometime in the near future.

By 2000, his main activity within the music business had by chance taken a left turn. For the last 10 years, Andrew has been working as Tour Manager for American guitar virtuoso, Walter Trout, touring the world with him and
his band. Uniquely, Andrew also performs every night
with Walter, backing up the band on acoustic guitar and harmonies on a few songs and often even given a lead vocal spot! As a vocalist, Andrew has kept performing
in between touring with Walter Trout. He is a much 'in demand' vocalist at rock sessions (His voice emulating
the enigmatic vocals of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple,
Guns n Roses, AC/DC, Van Halen etc) and in a variety
of other 'cover' bands. While still staying on as tour manager for Walter Trout, Andrew joined the renowned European Led Zeppelin tribute, Physical Graffiti in 2009 and is continually touring and performing the music of
Led Zeppelin throughout Germany, Holland, Scandinavia and the rest of Europe.
